Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth management of the clinics: hygienic set-up, patient registration, ensure opening and closing hours are fully met, ensure proper cooperation with Health Educators, and other preparation
  • Identify, screen and refer patients suspected to have tuberculosis, while strictly adhering to specific guidelines for communicable diseases in the process
  • Provide feedback on results of all tests and diagnosis to the patient and ensure patient has understood these well; fully answer any subsequent patient questions/concerns
  • Provide individual health education to all patients and their families as appropriate and specific to each case

Qualifications:

  • Previous working experience in a rural outreach setting and able to understand challenges faced by rural communities in relation to poor health, and lack of knowledge
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills and able to deal with the local communities
